We are pleased to present the latest DAWN Informs on Policy Transformations, which investigates the drastic economic, political and social transformations that occurred in many countries of the global South during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The product of this collaboration is a rich collection of twelve case studies from Africa, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and the Caribbean, with relevant and timely analyses of the changes that have been taking place in four main policy areas: macroeconomics, social care and protection, labour rights and migration and human mobilities.

Feminist authors from across the global South raise critical questions on the rapid political and social changes in the countries studied, analysing if they have helped the population in this time of uncertainty, or reproduced and reinforced existing social inequalities.
