DAWN’s general co-coordinator Gita Sen was one of the five experts invited to present at the official Interactive Expert Panel “Harnessing synergies and securing financing” organized by UN Women at CSW63, on March 15th 2019 in New York. This panel addressed the interconnections between the three focus areas of the priority theme of CSW63 – social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure – from a gender equality perspective. Panelists discussed how these three areas can work in tandem with macroeconomic policies to strengthen women’s income security, capabilities and rights.
