Feminists are working in a historical moment of complex and co-opted development, including unprecedented privatisation of development finance. This exacerbates negative impacts on sexual and reproductive health and rights, women human rights, the global development partnership, FfD and climate justice etc. By May 2016 there is a need for strategic updates on key developments and collaborative feminist responses.
Moderator: Noelene Nabulivou (Diverse Voices and Action (DIVA) for Equality)
Speakers: Celita Eccher (DAWN); Lice Cokanasiga (PANG, Fiji), Kate Lappin (APWLD); Anita Nayar, (Regions Refocus).
Speakers from floor: Rachel Jacobson (IWHC), Mari-Claire Price, (Resurj)
The panel is intergenerational, broad in its regional coverage, organisational coverage and type. It incorporated a mix of analysis, movement updates and strategic calls, from the panel and room to share the timely and practical feminist analysis on the state of regional and global human rights, trade, finance, aid, debt and development.
