Demand Accountability South Africa Campaign

DAWN supports the lesbian, bisexual and trans-women of Africa and call on the government of South Africa to hold the Regional Seminar on Human Rights, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE). This seminar is crucial to provide a venue for LGBTI people and their representatives to make their demands heard by their respective governments; and for the governments, once and for all, address the grave human rights violations experienced by LGBTI people across the region.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY SOUTH AFRICA CAMPAIGN

We are now mobilizing and reaching out to our friends and allies to encourage active participation in this campaign. We are at a point where we need all the solidarity and action that we can get, and we hope that you and your organisations can join us in this. Especially the petition-please sign the petition. Please download the following in the downloadable files section at the right side of this article.

A.  A social media toolkit which gives an brief outline of WHY we are participating and leading in this campaign and HOW you and your organisation can get involved

B. Images that you can use in your social media networks to show solidarity with the campaign and the call for an African Regional Seminar.

We are welcome to have conversations about this initiative and to support your involvement in whichever way we can.

Please let us know if you have any questions and we are thankful for the solidarity.

Kind regards,
