In 1998 DAWN undertook a research project on the theme of Political Restructuring and Social Transformation (PRST). This video together with the book of the same name was launched at the World Social Summit + 5 in Geneva in 2000. They present a strong critique of global financial and trade liberalization, a process that has resulted in the erosion of the state’s capacity to meet national social development needs.
