DAWN happily congratulates Gita Sen, DAWN Executive Committee and founding member, for having been appointed Chairperson of the Forum on Minority Issues (FMI) by the President of the Human Rights Council on September 23, 2010. According the President’s letter of appointment, Gita’s “substantial expertise on economics will be relevant for the Forum session on ‘Minorities and effective participation in economic life'”. The third session of the FMI was held on 14-15 December 2010.
